New heritage website for the Municipality of Zoetermeer

The Municipality of Zoetermeer has launched a new heritage website. In recent years, various websites about the history of Zoetermeer have been merged to assist visitors as effectively as possible. Because there were multiple websites, it was not always clear to online visitors where to find information. By bringing this data together in Atlantis and offering it through one website, users can now search different collections at once. Atlantis makes it easier to establish connections between the various collections. The Municipality of Zoetermeer is already using several modules of Atlantis, as well as a connection with an e-Depot. In the coming period, additional content will be added to the new website to make it even more comprehensive. We asked Leonard Korevaar about his experiences with Atlantis: “We are satisfied with the use of Atlantis. It is a system with many possibilities. This sometimes means we have to search for the right menu or setting when we want to make adjustments, but on the other hand, it offers a lot of flexibility. If we can’t figure it out, we contact the support department, and we usually find a good solution together. Atlantis came out on top in a tender that was held. Personally, I find it very convenient that Atlantis consists of different services and modules. This way, you can take what you need.”

On June 27, we held a webinar about the advantageous transition to Linked Open Data. Together with guest speaker Wilbert Helmus from the Digital Heritage Network, this webinar focused on the acceleration scheme of NDE. Thanks to this scheme, heritage organizations can benefit from financial support for the transition to Linked Open Data. Afterwards, we explained how the various NDE-compatible points have been applied in the Atlantis software.

Atlantis Collection Management Lite demo environment available

Atlantis Collection Management Lite is a solution based on the proven collection management system Atlantis for a modest investment. This makes a full-fledged solution for collection management accessible for small museums and heritage organizations.

A demo version of Atlantis Collection Management Lite is available. With this environment, you can test the functions and possibilities of this solution. Let us know if you would like to make use of this. Access to the environment is provided along with a short instructional video. It is also possible to schedule an appointment with one of our advisors. 

Tip: Atlantis Collection Management Lite is also eligible for the NDE acceleration scheme. This means that it is possible to receive financial support for the transition to Atlantis Collection Management Lite.

Project highlighted: Collection management system for Audax

Audax is a family business based in Amsterdam and Gilze that focuses on four core activities: retail, publishing, commercial distribution, and logistics. This is done through the business units Audax Retail, Audax Publishing, Van Ditmar, Betapress, and Audax Logistics. Under Audax Retail, the formulas AKO, Bruna, ReadShop, Vivánt, Plantage, and BookSpot fall. Additionally, Audax Publishing has its own media portfolio of 7 titles (including Weekend, Vriendin, and Santé), Van Ditmar serves a wholesale function for books, and Betapress, as a commercial distributor of magazines, is also an important link in the chain.        

Audax has been around for more than 75 years and has a rich history. Atlantis is used to manage the corporate archive. For this, the Archive Management and Library modules are utilized. Meanwhile, Audax has adopted Atlantis.
