DEVENTit partner for archive management within the framework agreement of the Province of Antwerp
For the framework agreement Digital Depot, Website, and Archive Management System of the Province of Antwerp, DEVENTit has been selected as the technological partner for archive management and access. We are responsible for the implementation of the Archive Management System and the associated front-end environment. Docbyte takes care of the Digital Depot (e-Depot) and is the main contractor for the framework contract.
The core of the assignment is to provide a solution in which both digital and physical archives are managed, preserved, and made available in one central location. The total solution from DEVENTit and DocByte meets the eIDAS v2 requirements regarding qualified trust services for electronic archiving and the archiving of documents equipped with a qualified digital signature.
The Province of Antwerp acts as a purchasing center, allowing other entities to participate and directly benefit from this collaboration. This includes the provinces of Limburg, East Flanders, West Flanders, and Flemish Brabant, as well as cities and municipalities from the province of Antwerp and Digipolis Antwerp. The first interested parties have already come forward. Joining the framework contract offers the following advantages:
- ๐๐ผ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐: The technical basic setup has already been developed and financed by the Province of Antwerp. This significantly lowers the entry cost for other authorities.
- ๐ง๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด & ๐๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐: Authorities do not need to initiate their own complex procurement procedure; they can directly use this already tested solution.
- ๐๐ป๐ป๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป & ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ถ๐๐: Effortless access to a digital depot that fully complies with the strictest standards, such as eIDAS and the Belgian Digital Act.
- ๐ฆ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ: Participating authorities are not alone; the Province of Antwerp organizes active user support for the entire process.
With this framework agreement, we are building together a sustainable and high-quality information provision for the Flemish public sector.
Visit the new website of DEVENTit
At DEVENTit, we have been happily building the most beautiful heritage websites for our clients for years. But to be honest: A new website for ourselves? That turned out to be a different story.
After a significant renovation behind the scenes, it is finally here: our renewed environment is live! On atlantiscollectiebeheer.nl, you can now discover how we help organizations manage, access, and present collections, with a clear focus on usability.
On the new site, you can find everything neatly in one place:
- Custom solutions: Find information directly by collection type or theme, such as archives or Linked Open Data.
- Use cases: Discover how our solutions add value in practice by sector.
- Frequently asked questions: On every page, you can find frequently asked questions with corresponding answers.
- Improved navigation: A fresh look that ensures you get to the information relevant to you faster.
On the updated pricing page, you can now see exactly what we offer. You will find a clear description of the available licensing models and extensions. Want to know what a specific functionality does? Simply click on it for a direct explanation.
We are incredibly proud of the result and warmly invite you to take a look.
First group of customers working in Atlantis 7
After years of development on our part, we have reached a significant milestone: The first group of customers is now officially working in Atlantis 7. This marks the transition from years of building to daily practice.
With Atlantis 7, a completely new management and publication environment is provided with a modern interface and user-friendly design. The users who are now live notice this immediately in the interface; the design is more modern, and the daily workflow is easier.
In the past period, we have worked intensively with these first customers through the ‘guided transition’ process. Here, Atlantis 7 initially ran alongside the existing management environment so that daily operations would not come to a halt, and users could already get accustomed to the new interface.
In the coming period, more customers will follow who will engage in this guided process. Atlantis 7 will be released in phases, with additional functionalities being moved to this new environment in each phase. Organizations eligible for this guided transition will be notified when it is their turn.
Make your collection future-proof with NDE Accelerate 2026!
Thanks to Linked Open Data, your collection can be used by heritage platforms without intensive efforts. With this approach, your public records are offered as Linked Data Sets in the Dataset Register so that they are findable and usable for publication. We are talking about the new standard for data exchange and thus the way to be visible and remain so in the Network of Digital Heritage.
The Network Digital Heritage has established guidelines to allow publishers and users to work in the same way. We call this ‘NDE Compatible’. The Network Digital Heritage provides financial support through the ‘Accelerate 2026’ program to help you transition to an NDE Compatible collection management system like Atlantis. For existing users of Atlantis, there is financial support to facilitate the setup to become NDE Compatible.
The deadline for the Accelerate 2026 program is approaching. This is the last opportunity to take advantage of financial support for the transition to Linked Open Data within your Atlantis environment. One of the requirements for participation in the scheme is that your collection must already be published on platforms such as Collection Netherlands, Europeana, and Network War Sources. But if this is not the case, and you still want to take advantage of this scheme, we ask you to contact us. There are possibilities!

The board emphasizes: “We want to proactively engage in conversation about the safety of our data within Atlantis and discover what we as users still need to consider.”
