e-Depot of The Flevoland Archive successfully launched

On Wednesday, February 4, an important milestone took place in the council chamber of the municipality of Lelystad: the official launch of the renewed e-Depot of The Flevoland Archive (HFA). On behalf of DEVENTit, we were present at this special moment, where the director of the HFA, Marloes van de Sommen, symbolically pressed the button to go live with the system.

A crucial part of this project is the connection between Atlantis and the e-depot provision of Docbyte, which is used by The Flevoland Archive. Through this integration, the archive is now able to sustainably store digital government information and historical sources, while they remain directly manageable and searchable within the Atlantis environment. This collaboration ensures that Flevoland’s heritage is preserved in an authentic way for the very long term, without compromising accessibility.

During the meeting, this new working method was presented, and there was room for a valuable knowledge session about the experiences gained. For us, it was a great moment to see how the technical connection is being used in practice to make the information provision of the province truly future-proof.

A new heritage website for the Historical Information Center Oss

Sometimes a website, after years of faithful service, is due for a spot in the archive. This was also true for the site of the City Archive of Oss; it dated back to 2006 and simply did not work well on a smartphone anymore. Moreover, the information was fragmented: the ‘front end’ was with another partner, while the collection was already managed in Atlantis. For us at DEVENTit, it was a wonderful opportunity to bring these worlds together in one clear ‘showcase’.

The timing could not have been better, as from January 1, 2026, the archive has a new identity: the Historical Information Center Oss (HICO). A name that fits much better with their work for the entire region, which consists of more than twenty residential cores. With the new website, HICO can finally present all those beautiful stories and collections to the public in a modern way.

Together with the team in Oss, we worked hard on a site that radiates calm and overview. When you now open the homepage, you immediately see five clear buttons that lead you to the largest collections. There is plenty of space for historical photos that really take you back in time. The result is an environment where you not only quickly look something up but also enjoy browsing around.

Jurgen Pigmans from the Historical Information Center Oss looks back on our collaboration with a good feeling: “I found the collaboration with DEVENTit regarding our new website pleasant and efficient. Especially the fact that there was a quick response and sufficient flexibility for additional questions was very nice.” We are incredibly proud that we were able to help HICO establish a digital foundation that they can build on for many years to come!

NIS2-SC 30 audit successfully completed and ISO certifications extended

Behind the scenes, hard work has been done recently to elevate our cybersecurity to the highest level. We are proud to announce that we have successfully completed the NIS2-Supply Chain 30 audit. With this, we officially meet the strictest requirements of the European NIS2 directive.

The NIS2 directive was established to increase digital resilience in Europe. Within this directive, there is a strong focus on the security of the entire supply chain. By complying with this NIS2 standard, we prove to be a reliable link in the operations of our partners.

For our customers, this simply means that our security, incident response, and continuity are in order. We find it important that you can rely on us as a safe link, especially now that digital resilience is more important than ever.

ISO certifications extended
In addition to this NIS2 success, we are proud to report that our ISO 27001 (Information Security) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management) certifications have also been extended. This ensures that our foundation for information security and quality management is guaranteed at the highest level.

The highlights of release 5.26.1.0

Recently, we rolled out a new version to all Atlantis 5 environments. In addition to various optimizations, we are introducing a number of new functionalities. Below you can read what it means for your Atlantis environment.

New functionalities:
Payment integration Ogone/Worldline: The integration with the Ogone/Worldline online payment system has been fully updated to their latest standards.
Pagination Crowdsourcing management: Pagination has been added to the management overview. This significantly speeds up the loading of pages with many records and makes it easier to maintain an overview.
New rights: We have added the new right APITOKEN_GENERATE.

A user with this right will receive a different email for requests, if available and set up. This is a preparatory step for more extensive functionalities in upcoming releases.
Optimizations & Bugfixes
Behind the scenes, we have done a lot of “maintenance” again. The vast majority of the bug fixes are invisible but ensure a stable experience. A few highlights:
Speed improvements: Noticeable improvements in the speed of IIIF, generating OAI cache files, and retrieving records to be verified in crowdsourcing.
Configuration Cockpit: When creating users, password strength is now checked immediately. Additionally, you remain within the Cockpit environment for rights handling.
Security & Logging: Improved error messages (e.g., when deleting active user groups) and improved logging of changes in master data.
Efficiency: Indexing large amounts of changes proceeds more smoothly, and downloading large numbers of multimedia as PDF files has been made more memory-friendly.
